Introduction

 WSQ Level-B Course core module for those would like to acquire the skills and knowledge to facilitate an effective work team at the workplace, and for those would like to pursue career as WSH professional.

Target Audience

The job role(s)/occupations that this unit would be relevant to may include all occupational roles in all industries, although the primary target audience would be those with some responsibilities for the work of others, usually related to an organizational sub-set of functions.

Course Overview & Objective

On completion of this course, learners will have the knowledge and skills to:-

• Provide and clarify with team members on work-related information using appropriate communication techniques

• Involve team members in the planning of work activities to promote ownership and commitment to work plan

• Delegate duties and responsibilities taking into consideration the competencies of individual team members.

• Communicate thoughts and feelings to justify a position and responsibilities assigned to team members and persuade and influence them

• Communicate to team members the importance and interdependence of each’s role and promote the benefits of diversity within the team

• Provide opportunities for team members to contribute ideas and skills and maintain positive relationships amongst them

• Provide resources, assistance and support needed by team members to complete projects or work activities

• Analyze project control reports and performance assessment results to ascertain team performance and provide feedback and criticism to team      members using appropriate communication techniques

• Communicate team performance and related issues of concern to management and provide recommendations to address them

Certification : Only Participants with 75% attendance will be eligible to sit for the examination. Certificate will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the course and pass the assessment.

Class Size : Maximum 25

The course schedule can be arranged as 

a) 2 full days (weekday or Sunday)

b) 4 evenings

Special Class : Available upon request with minimum 8 participants.

Skills Development Fund (SDF) Available : Applicable to Singaporean & Permanent Residents only.   50% for <40 years, 90% for >=40 years, 95% for >=35 years & earning <=2000/ months (WTS)
